Training in Person

Face to face, or in-person, training can happen in either a group or individual setting. The first step in either program is the initial speech analysis. This helps identify the sounds that will make the most impact on a person's ability to be understood. After the speech analysis, the client begins a program that best fits their needs and schedule.

During in-person meetings, clients learn how to recognize and reproduce the sounds of spoken American English, and learn American intonation and non-verbal communication skills. Clients retrain their voices to be better understood. Their conversational and presentation skills improve, and they gain increased self-confidence as a result.

In addition to the weekly meeting, clients are expected to practice for at least thirty minutes per day. At the end of the course, clients can expect at least a 50% improvement in their ability to be understood.

Individual classes are offered for people who feel more comfortable in a one-on-one setting. Clients receive individualized attention and a shorter, more focused weekly meeting. Some clients also prefer the discretion afforded in individual sessions.

Group classes are made up of no more than five clients, and group members do not need to share the same language background to participate. Many people prefer learning in a community, and group classes are a great way to meet new people.
